John Richards Music is expanding the team (thank god! we need the help! We BIZZY). John and Amy have hired on Tim Betterley as their new Programming Assistant/ Music Licensing Coordinator/ Guest DJ. We are so lucky to have Tim join the team. A talented DJ, events coordinator, promoter and all around great guy, he’s invaluable already! In fact, Amy and Tim already love to hang at Herkimer Coffee in Greenwood, brainstorm records, reach out to labels and work on upcoming music mixes, and events! Yay Tim! PS he makes a strong drink up at Smith on Capitol Hill if you catch him in the evenings.

John Richards Music and Amy Lindsey Productions did the soundtrack for The Road To Istanbul a documentary film made in partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust, Silverspun Pictures, and The Dumball Rally. The film is shot in the context of a Dumball Rally throughout Eastern Europe. The Dumball Rally is basically a poor mans Gumball Rally in junk cars for a week long drive from Brussels to Istanbul, with a convoy of 33 teams, and 66+ people taking them through a life changing journey while raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Silverspun Pictures shot this film capturing the lightness and humor contrasted with the devastation and seriousness of teens living with cancer. John Richards Music and Amy Lindsey Productions was fortunate to participate in this project placing music in a way that captures the emotion, excitement, the adventure and the inspiring journeys of these brave young human beings staring cancer in the face. All music was donated gratis license to the film, as were our services. Below is a list of the music used in the film. Keep checking in as we hope to post clips from the film soon!

This past weekend, Amy and John were off to Napa Valley to attend and provide music for the newly wed Andrea and William Wagner! We worked with the couple for months leading up to make sure we had their musical tastes dialed in and all their perfect wedding songs on the docket. Not one bad song was played, and not one off-base drunken request was honored. We take our job seriously. We are there to provide good music and fulfill the musical wedding wishes of the couple. After all it’s their big day! Dancing was had by all, and the Wagners were pleased! Find out more about John Richards Music and Weddings!
