Music Supervision
Music Supervision means coordinating, directing and programming music to visual media. The visual media can be a film, television show, commercial, video game, or a promotional piece. The job is both creative and logistic; music supervisors select music and negotiate usage licenses. As music supervisors at John Richards Music we select music and handle licensing for each project*.
*Depending on the project, John Richards Music may elect to negotiate and process all the licensing, or sub-contract out to some of our partners who specialize in licensing. Either way the outcome is placing good music where it’s not, and transforming the visual media.
